Dental Lab Technician Main Roles
Job Description:
  • Read specifications, examine models and impressions to determine design of dental products to be produced.
  • Construct custom-made restorative and dental appliances such as dentures, crowns and bridges.
  • Fabricate, alter or repair dental devices such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays or appliances.
  • Utilize and conserve supplies and equipment by completing plaster casting, electro-spot welding, metal casting, metal polishing, wax modelling, ceramics, wire bending, electroplating and sandblasting; using CAD/CAM units; maintaining supplies inventories and keeping equipment operating.
  • Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
Dental Lab Technician Requirements
Job Requirements:
  • NITEC in Dental Technology (an added advantage) or equivalent qualifications in engineering.
  • Experience as a Lab Technician (at least 3 years preferred).
  • Experience in denture production preferred.
  • Skills Needed: good time management, critical thinking, quality control and active listening.
  • Abilities Needed: working in a team, good vision, good finger movement, steady arms and hands, precision and communication skills.

  • Provide four-handed dental assistance to our clinicians when delivering dental treatment.
  • Maintain hygiene and sterility standards of instruments, equipment, and materials.
  • Manage dental material stock inventory.
  • Provide basic dental laboratory support e.g. casting of impressions etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the team.
  • Answer phone calls, attend to inquiries and feedback on dental services and provide good customer service.
